Independent Film Debut

Red Feather News has the privilege of debuting independent film director - and Red Feather Community Build Associate - Ben Yeomans' new documentary on renovations at the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Starring newcomer Tillman Whitehair and screen veteran Jesse Jaure (see his debut in the critically-acclaimed film "Son of the Morning Star"), Yeomans' work brings fresh insight into the experiences of three men and a bathroom.

More from Muddy

Well, the last days of Red Feather's Northern Cheyenne renovation projects are fast approaching. The last of the volunteers are slated to depart this weekend, as well as our beloved Indigenous Builders Exchange participants.

Today, the crew is finishing up on the main project - Cheryl's - and a bathroom fix-up in Busby. Mike and Sandy from Centennial Timber Frames of Kalispell, MT are leading a crew in the construction of dugouts for Busby's revamped softball field, and others are assisting a Lame Deer woman with some fix-ups to her place.

Without further ado, here's some of the action of the past two weeks!

Photos from the projects...

Renovations are going well thus far. Mark, Eric, and Ben encountered quite a bit of rain during there first days, but the sun has dried things out for those of us who arrived later. Check out the photos below to see a bit of what we're seeing...
