Fundraiser! Win $10,000!

Long time Red Feather supporter Cris Lindsay, is holding a raffle in support of Red Feather’s American Indian Sustainable Housing Initiative and the construction of a home for a native family in need. This is a 50/50 raffle with a goal to sell only 200 tickets at $100 each. The total amount raised of $20,000 will be split between Red Feather Development Group and the $10,000 winning ticket holder! Cris is rapidly approaching her goal of $47,000, and the raffle will put her over the top.

Tickets will be available for purchase until 5:00 pm. EST on Tuesday, September 4th, 2007. The raffle will be held at 7:00 pm. EST on September 7th, 2007 in Leesburg, Virginia, and the winning ticket holder will be notified immediately.

Travel to Hopi

For those volunteers who will be attending the Duwyenie home project in the Hopi Nation during September, here are a few public transportation options:

- The Hopi Senom Transit runs a shuttle from Flagstaff to Third Mesa (right past the job site). It runs Monday through Friday, and departs from the Flagstaff Railroad station twice daily. For additional information on the Hopi Senom Transit Program, contact Judy Polingyumptewa at 928.734.3245.

- A Friendly Shuttle runs from Phoenix Airport to Flagstaff (and back). The one-way price is $35; $68 RT. Call (928) 774-4444 or visit their website for more details.
